Cov-HAK

Cov-HAK, a venture of Product Design and Development Center, College of Engineering, Chengannur is a 14-day long online Hackathon sought at bringing together young talents and extracting the best innovations. The participants are expected to register either individually or in groups of 2 - 4. Further on, attendees are open to collaborate, brainstorm, bring in ideas, and complete a proof-of-concept within a couple of weeks. The hackathon will proceed in 3 stages, abstract submission, mentorship, and the final presentation. The participants are free to use any software or hardware which is necessary for the project implementation. The projects will be judged by an eminent panel of specialized experts and the winner will be awarded prizes worth 3k and e-certificates. Attendees will be provided with mentorship throughout the hackathon. The platform is a starting touch for beginners and ensures that everyone can walk away having learned something.

Theme: Developing new ways to improve and extend people’s lives in times of pandemics.

NB: Timings are subject to changes.

Rules

Registrations must be done either individually or as a team of 2 - 4.

The registration fee for both individual and group is ₹200.

For the groups with a minimum of 2 PRODDEC members, registration fee will be ₹150.

The Hackathon is open for colleges under Kerala Technological University.

The team members can be from different colleges.

Projects must adhere to the theme provided.

Each team will be given a unique ID meant for communication with the team throughout the event.

Once the registration is successful, an acknowledgment will be e-mailed to all the participants along with a link to join the common WhatsApp group and google classroom.

Mentorship will be provided to each of the teams.

Each team is expected to have a team leader, to whom further updates will be communicated.

The winner will be announced during the closing ceremony and will be awarded a reward of 3k.

Judges' decisions will be held final.
